Dr. Khaled Nagaty
Chairman & MD
Since 2011, Dr. Khalid Nagaty has served as Chairman and Managing Director of Metropolitan Egypt Consulting (SAE). He assumed the role of General Manager of the Metropolitan Training Academy from 2011 to 2014, where he led the design of strategies and the coordinating the programs of developing the skills of SME executives in credit and financing programs of all types, including comprehensive growth, employment and development of relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Dr. Nagaty received a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of California, USA in 2002, and a Masters in Business Administration in 2005 from the University of Corlins. He obtained his PhD in Business Administration from the same university in 2009.
Dr. Nagati has spent much of his career in the public service domain, where he is currently chairman of the Egyptian Association for Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) since 2014. He also served as vice president of the International Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (2013-2015) and Chair of Banking and Finance Committee at Egyptian Jounior Business Association (2012-2014). Dr. Nagaty also presided the Egyptian Association of Credit and Risk Management (2011-2013).
Believing in the importance of integrating the informal sector into the formal economy, Dr. Khaled Nagaty is currently establishing the Egyptian Association for the Development of the Informal Economy to be the first initiative taken by civil society in this vital domain.
Dr. Nagaty participates in many local and international conferences and seminars as a speaker on issues related to SMEs and the informal economy. He is also a certified lecturer at the Egyptian Banking Institute.
On the other hand, Dr. Khalid Nagaty is engaged in sports activities, where he was a player in the Al-Ahly team of table tennis (1985-2000). He won the Egypt Junior Under-20 Championship in 1994 and represented Egypt youth team in Japan in 1995.In addition, he won the Silver Medal (Men’s Doubles) at the African Championship in 1995. Dr. Khalid Nagaty served as Secretary General of the Egyptian National Teams Committee for Table Tennis (2011 – 2012).
Hany Abou-El-Fotouh has a proven expertise in banking, financial services, and consulting leveraging 30+ years of solid experience. He assumed senior positions in international banks, financial institutions and consulting firms in Egypt and GCC countries.
Over the past years, Hany has demonstrated a passion for achieving business goals and objectives while providing forward-thinking leadership in demanding environments. He leverages on his GCC experience coupled with strong administrative management skills to advise organizations on diverse areas.
His understanding of the business needs of the financial services industry has enabled him to deal with the most important elements in solving today’s business problems: people, and bottom-line results.
Hany spent many years in banking before moving to consulting. He assumed top management positions in leading banks in Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman such as HSBC Egypt, Banque Saudi Fransi, HSBC Oman, SABB among other financial institutions and leading consulting firms.
Hany is also a renowned writer, commentator, trainer and public speaker.
In recognition of his role to promote the economic and business knowledge, the Federation of Arab Entrepreneurs elected him among the top 100 most influential figures in the Arab World in 2018
Hany attended King Saud University. He holds a postgraduate degree in banking as well as several professional certificates in marketing, accounting corporate governance and financial crime.
